50311 - Capacity Specialist - 395

Hours: M-F, 8:00am-5:00pm

SUMMARY

Assist agents in securing capacity for available, short notice, critical and emergency load opportunities with a main focus on direct customer and pre-loaded trailers. Promote the integrity of Landstar load board. Assist and develop maintenance of third party applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Assist Agents in locating available capacity by using available tools

• Promote and protect the Landstar brand by analyzing agent load posting practices

• Assist with distressed loads as requested

• Educate Agents and capacity on the use of various Landstar systems and websites.

• Support specific accounts, agents or projects as requested (may require travel and/or flexible schedules)

• Support PEAK business as required (alternate and extended hours)

• Complete random drug and alcohol notifications as required

• Issue pre-trip advances and/or additional advances as required

• Update and maintain required certification and training courses

• Maintain and service third party posting subscriptions

• Assist in developing, maintaining, servicing and growing the Carrier Management Groups application

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

Bi-lingual helpful, but not required

Knowledge of equipment types and legal capacities are preferred.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Minimum Education: High school diploma, required; or general education degree (GED), required; Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school preferred;

Minimum Experience: or one year related experience and/or training (customer service, sales, transportation); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
