With a natural curiosity for streamlining data, the analyst is energized by providing key stakeholders with the intel they need to succeed.

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Build, utilize and consistently iterate all data dashboards for the Marketing department
  • Collaborate with IT, analytics, actuarial, finance and other business units to ensure data is accurate
  • Assist the organization in making data-driven decisions and identifying new solutions that support its short and long-term goals
  • Use statistical analysis, predictive analysis and modeling to understand trends and business-based outcomes
  • Collaborate with the marketing strategy analyst to perform data analyses, and expand data collaboration through other business units as appropriate
  • Interact with stakeholders to understand needs and provide insights that help meet profit, growth and expense goals
  • Oversee training for the tools developed and work with internal teams to ensure insights are acted upon
  • Provide proactive support by appropriately setting expectations, building rapport and responding to requests in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with leadership -- listen, respond and work to accomplish department goals
  • Maintain full documentation for business and marketing intelligence solutions and related services along with associated communications and documents

 We are seeking someone with the following skills:

  • Ability to effectively communicate complex data elements
  • Significant experience in building and managing data dashboards – performing queries and producing analytics reports
  • Possess exceptional critical thinking and research skills
  • Skilled at working with cross-functional teams and other stakeholders
  • An understanding of the property and casualty insurance industry is a plus, with the ability to translate business strategy into measurable key performance metrics
  • Ability to manage detailed data sets while drawing out actionable insight
  • Maintains an attitude of a constant learner -- keeping pace with industry trends, changes and current events in order to better understand impact to the organization
  • Possess a positive, professional, cooperative and quality-conscious service attitude that upholds Central's core values of integrity, relationships, and excellence
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail

Qualifications & experience may include:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in computer science or significant coursework in analytics, online analytical processing and/or data cube technology
  • Experience in building dashboards using tools such as Tableau, Qlikview, PowerBI and other BI tools
  • Advanced experience in Google Analytics is required; experience in Salesforce and Airtable is a plus
  • Advanced use of the Microsoft Office Suite required (Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Word, etc.)
  • Understanding of ETL processes and ETL tools like Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  • Proficient in SQL (MySQL, T-SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, DB2, etc.)
  • Exposure using data mining tools like SAS, Python, R, etc.
