The ideal candidate will have event planning expertise, the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations with strong written and verbal communication, administrative and organization skills, and the ability to maintain balance among multiple priorities. Must be able to work independently on assignments/projects from conception to completion, make decisions, and take action without instructions or prescribed procedures. Must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion. 

This will also include:

  • Lead or assist with the research, planning, and coordination of corporate events both on and off campus
  • Responsible for payments, invoices, and keeping a detailed expense report for each event
  • Responsible for hands-on service work when needed and orchestrating events when necessary
  • Manage Central Store merchandise
  • Serve as Corporate Travel Liaison
  • Complete a broad variety of tasks, including budgeting, composing and preparing correspondence, arranging complex and detailed travel plans, itineraries, and agendas, and compiling documents for meetings
  • Prioritize conflicting needs, handle matters expeditiously, proactively, and follows through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures
  • Work independently on assignments/projects, from conception to completion, making decisions and taking action without instructions or prescribed procedures

  • Significant experience in assisting and managing corporate events

  • Forward thinker who proactively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions
  • Advanced use of the Microsoft Office Suite required (Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Word, etc.)
  • Willing to travel as needed
