Pricing Analyst Staff - Procurement
JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
VSE is looking for an experienced, innovative and forward –thinking Pricing Analyst to add value to the Pricing Department in its efforts to deliver compliant, competitive, cost effective, winning proposals at best value and on time. Candidate must demonstrate a successful track record in preparing successful price proposals over a broad spectrum of DoD and Civilian Agency service-oriented requirements. The Pricing Analyst will apply strong analytical skills and attention to detail in extracting solicitation requirements and developing winning price proposals in compliance with FAR/DFARS, CAS, DCMA/DCAA and solicitation requirements.
Candidate must possess the skills necessary to assist in price strategy development, establish and coordinate pricing schedules, and develop cost/price models and templates.
Support a forward thinking pricing team with the capability to support all major contract types to include, - Firm Fixed Price, Firm Cost Reimbursable, Time and Materials.
Create complex and unique proposal pricing models and conduct cost/price and profitability analyses.
Encourage the development competitive and innovative pricing strategies in highly aggressive markets where cost is the major discriminator.
Participate in pricing reviews with upper management and influence the decision making with sound pricing analysis.
Compiles cost, schedule, and technical elements in the development of proposals in accordance with solicitation specifications.
Ensure compliance with government/customer specifications and company policies and procedures.
Identify pricing risks, and recommend appropriate mitigation regarding federal government and commercial proposals.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics or a related discipline. Advance degree is a plus.
At least 3 to 5 years of experience pricing competitive DoD/Federal procurements including role as the cost narrative development lead/major contributor.
Strong analytical, financial and profit/loss skills.
High proficiency with MS Office suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). Strong MS Excel skills, in particular, are essential.
Excellent communication, organization, prioritization, organization, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Detail oriented individual, with a strong aptitude for numbers and an ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
Position is located in Alexandria, VA. Working conditions include normal office environment.
Little or no Travel.
