VSE Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Mechanics for our III MEF Contractor Maintenance Support Contract located in Okinawa, Japan to perform the following duties:
The incumbent will perform Preventative Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance tasks on USMC equipment as directed by the Site Supervisor and Maintenance Mechanic Leads. You will also be responsible for identifying discrepancies, operating vehicles on maintenance runs, ordering repair/replacement parts and communicating those re-equipments to the Maintenance Mechanic Lead in the absence of the Site Supervisor using the Parts Requirement Form.
High school graduate or equivalent or be a recent graduate of military, commercial or vocational automotive mechanical school.
Must be able to obtain a tactical vehicle license.
Must have a verifiable four years as a Maintenance Mechanic.
Must possess the physical ability to perform the job while standing long periods of time, lift 50 lbs. and carrying 40 lbs.
Must perform assigned tasks with a minimum of supervision.
Preferred former USMC Maintenance Mechanic.
Former USMC Maintenance Mechanic.
Background in USMC Motor Transport Maintainer.
Background in USMC and DOD equipment desired.
Highly knowledgeable of power tools, special tools, equipment and common tools required to make repairs.
Be organized and follow a schedule.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of Software.
