Logistics Analyst Associate
The successful candidate for Logistician must be dependable and thorough in their work; will collect and organize information required for the preparation of military technical reports, technical publications, and other technical documentation.
Responsible for developing Logistics input and impacts to Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Engineering Release Records (ERRs), and Test Incident Reports (TIRs);
Must be able to perform traditional tasks and functions normally associated with the Integrated Logistic Support/Logistic Support Analysis (ILS/LSA) process;
Will produce monthly status reports and provide input for milestone requirements for Program Manager as required;
Will perform Task and Cost Analysis;
Will identify special tools and test equipment required for Field and Sustainment support of various military platforms and programs;
Will create and modify a given programs supportability requirements by identifying repairable vs non-repairable assemblies
Maintenance levels, Military Occupational Specialties (MOS),
Line Replacement Units (LRUs), Mandatory Replacement Parts (MRPs), Long Lead Items (LLI), and bulk/consumable lists to name a few.
Will utilize an automated Logistic Support Analysis Record (LSAR) database program and other associated web sites and software programs to create and maintain LSAR for new and legacy systems. Data stored in the LSAR will then be used to assist in the development of technical publications, provisioning data, the Maintenance Allocation Chart (MAC) and other standard LSA reports.
Logistician will participate in Validation and Verifications of technical documentation and technical manuals supporting military vehicles and support equipment;
Logisticians prepare LSAR records in accordance with GEIA -STD-0007B, MIL-STD-1388-2B and MIL-PRF-49506, Logistic Management Information (LMI) format; must be familiar with Military Technical Manuals (TMs), Depot Maintenance Work Requirements (DMWRs), National Maintenance Work Requirements (NMWRs), Maintenance Work Orders (MWOs), and Engineering Improvement Report (EIR) Digest Articles.
Responsible for conferring with technical writers, technical illustrators, and provisioners in developing publications and other logistics related projects.
Ensure all deliverables meet contract/customer requirements.
Responsible for proofreading all materials produced to ensure material meets established standards for format and editorial content, prior to sending to the editor or quality control person.
Provide input to develop and maintain project milestone schedules; and will prepare printing instructions for copy reproduction.
May be assigned collateral duties in support of program(s).
Must have excellent working knowledge of PC’s to include working with Microsoft Office and Adobe software products.
Prior military a plus.
Must be able to communicate effectively in Military/DoD environment.
Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer.
Ability to read, write and speak English functionally.
Must have working knowledge of military publications and specifications such as GEIA -STD-0007B, MIL-STD-1388-2B and MIL-PRF-49506.
Must be mechanically inclined and comfortable working in a office and shop environment.
Working experience with IADS and EMS-NG software are a must.
The selected applicant will be subject to a background check and drug testing.
