The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith based organization, has a job opening for a Kettle Driver for the Georgia Division, located in Gainesville Georgia.

Job Summary

Drives truck and/or van to mall(s) to pick up kettles and bring them back to the Christmas warehouse. Counts, prepares records and reports regarding kettle funds.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of volunteer recruitment methods and practices. Ability to follow instructions and work with limited supervision. Ability to prepare accurate and complete records and reports. Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with volunteers and staff. Ability to lead, motivate, and evaluate the work of volunteers and staff. Ability to maintain volunteer and financial database. Ability to read, write and communicate the English language. Ability to use/operate general office equipment.

Licenses and Certifications
Valid Georgia State Driver’s License

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to operate commercial equipment. Ability to exert the physical energy required in performing duties given. Ability to perform continuous stooping, standing and climbing as well as lift and carry and /or push/pull
moderate (25 – 50 lbs) and possibly heavy (50 – 100 lbs) materials and donations. Work is performed in a warehouse building with some exposure to outdoor temperatures, dirt, dust and/or disagreeable sights and orders.
