The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith based organization, has a job opening for aChristmas Bellringer Route and Truck Driver for the Service Center, located in Toccoa, GA.
Job Summary:
Drives truck and/or van to mall(s) to pick up gifts and take them to the Christmas warehouse; responsible for driving the truck and/or van to and from homes, agencies and churches to pick up gifts, stockings, etc.Loads and unloads gifts from the truck to the warehouse.Operates the truck and/or van in compliance with established Salvation Army standards and State driving regulations; lifts, carries, loads and unloads Christmas donations, gifts, stocks, etc.; ensures the safety, security and accountability of the vehicle and donations at all times; assists in performing work at the Christmas warehouse and center as requested.

Essential Responsibilities (100%)
Drive trucks to and from malls to pick-up gifts and take to the Christmas warehouse, organizing scheduling pick-ups by most direct route to arrive at destinations according to schedule.
Drives trucks to homes, agencies, churches and any other designated location to pick up gifts, stockings, etc. to take to the Christmas warehouse.
Maintains cleanliness of truck/or van inside and outside.
Assists with janitorial work in the Christmas warehouse as needed.
Assists with routing of traffic when necessary at the Christmas Center as requested.
Assists with setting up trees, tables and stands for Christmas display and disassembling at the end of the Christmas Season.
Conducts job duties in accordance with the ministry of The Salvation Army and its Christian principles.
Delivers kettles and supplies to kettle locations and workers; checks kettle locations to ensure they are staffed appropriately.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of the assigned geographic area;
Ability to organize route in a manner that saves time and gasoline consumption;
Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with co-workers and donors;
Ability to perform general cleaning activities for building;
Ability to follow instructions;
Ability to read, write and communicate the English language;
Education and Experience
High School or G.E.D; And
A minimum two (2) years driving experience working in an office environment; Or
Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Certifications:
Valid State Driver’s License
Physical Requirements:
Ability to meet attendance requirements;
Ability to operate commercial equipment;
Ability to exert the physical energy required in performing duties given;
Ability to perform continuous stooping, standing and climbing as well as lift and carry and /or push/pull moderate (25 – 50 lbs.) and possibly heavy (50 – 100 lbs.) materials and donations;
