Teel is adding four new Injection Mold Operator Technician I roles for 12 hour shifts:
Day Shifts: 7am-7pm
Night Shifts: 7pm-7am  


 
As a Injection Mold Operator Technician I, you will be responsible for
:
  • Cleaning and maintaining injection molds.
    • Maintain mold spare components and perform mold component changeovers as production schedule requires.
    • Keep company provided tools complete, clean and organized.
  • Setting up and tearing down injection molding machines.
    • Setup and remove molds from molding machines as required for production orders.
    • Setup automation cells as required for production orders.
    • Follow the direction set by the setup sheet.
    • Follow proper lock-out tag-out procedures as required.
    • Operate a bridge crane and forklift as needed for mold setup/tear down.
  • Start-up, operate and shutdown injection molding machines.
    • Verify automation programs of linear robots and troubleshoot as needed.
    • Execute proper molding barrel and hot runner purging/cleaning procedures.
    • Execute color and material changes as the production schedule requires.
    • Troubleshoot quality and processing problems as needed.
  • Injection Molding Department Support
    • Assist with training and developing the operators on basic molding methods and techniques to resolve quality and processing methods.
    • Assist the engineering department with new programs establishing processing requirements and assisting with tooling designs/improvements.
    • Take an active role in 5S and other Lean and Continuous Improvement Projects.
    • Recommend mold and process changes that will improve the manufacturing capabilities of Teel.
    • Support all company safety programs, quality programs and initiatives.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Strong math and mechanical skills required.
  • Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot on multiple machines.
  • Ability to learn on a wide variety of materials and equipment.
  • Experience as a machine operator.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as an injection molding process technician, set-up technician, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
