ADDIS - CEMS Instrument Technician
The role of CEMS Instrument Technician is primarily responsible for all activities related to the maintenance and care of CEMS equipment and scrubber instrumentation. In collaboration with the Maintenance Superintendent, the CEMS Instrument Technician will establish and maintain priorities for all CEMS maintenance activities at the facilities and will additionally need to navigate, create distributive control system (Delta V) instrumentation logic and manage/troubleshoot various applicable system modules. This role will have a firm understanding of interplay between the distributive control system (Delta V) and applicable field instrumentation.
Independently oversee and manage the plant's continuing emissions monitoring system (CEMS) to ensure optimum efficiency and performance.
Assist in the installation of new equipment and/or system modifications.
Coordinate and direct various teams to perform preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance on all types of process analyzers, and equipment.
Troubleshoot and perform maintenance on process controls, programmable logic controls (PLC) and emission monitoring equipment.
Perform calibrations of analytical equipment.
Install, maintain, test, and troubleshoot instrumentation, controls, and electrical/electronic systems.
Train and advise plant operators on analytical instrumentation.
Train other plant craftsmen as needed to support Scrubber or CEMS processes
Maintain electronic and paper documentation for preventive maintenance, and regulatory required calibrations.
Input, update and manage maintenance records regarding all CEMS activities, equipment history, and preventive maintenance programs.
Adhere to all applicable health & safety, environmental and administrative policies, procedures, and regulations.
Always maintain a safe work environment through job planning, identification, and correction of hazards.
Comply with all facilities environmental, health & safety programs.
Provide timely and accurate responses to correspondence and requests for information.
Attend training and continuing education proactively and as required.

Requirements:
Demonstrated skills in maintenance and troubleshooting of local and distributed control systems AND utilization of computerized maintenance management systems.
Must possess strong motivational, and communication (oral and written) skills, including the ability to communicate effectively in groups.
Strong emphasis on details-oriented, meticulous, regulatory based work-flow progression.
Ability to strictly adhere to plant safety and communication policies.
Demonstrated knowledge of electrical equipment, electronics, schematics, basics of chemistry and physics, and controls and instrumentation.
Ability to configure and operate various test instruments and equipment as necessary to troubleshoot and repair plant equipment including, but not limited to: multimeters, scope meters, sourcing meters
Ability to understand contractual issues as they relate to plant operations and maintenance.
Capable of reading process flow diagrams (PFD), process and instrument diagrams (P&ID), and electrical/electronic schematics
Demonstrated experience indicating effective communication skills, analytic ability, detail orientation, and ability to make decisions and meet deadlines.
Ability to perform detailed equipment inspections and provide solutions for repairs.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Power Point
Qualifications:
·5+ years Industrial instrumentation experience or Associate degree in instrumentation
·CEMS continuous emission monitoring system knowledge, preferred.
* Environmental control experience and knowledge of EH&S rules, regulations, and procedures, preferred.
