Summary/Objective

The quality control rework team member is responsible for reworking products being received into the warehouse, ensuring all product meets our high quality standards. This associate also ensures all food safety procedures and GMP’s are being followed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspects all incoming products for defects.
  • Exercises judgment when conducting audits to ensure all product meets our high standard of quality.
  • Culls/trims produce to meet presentation and quality guidelines.
  • Conducts routine audits to ensure proper food safety and sanitation procedures are practiced.
  • Maintains all paperwork in an accurate, orderly fashion.
  • Assists other departments as needed.

Food Safety Responsibilities

·      Works with Quality Assurance Team to ensure specific Good Manufacturing Practices are being followed.

·      Employee shall adhere to all company food safety policies, procedures, and trainings.

 

 

Required, Education and Experience:

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED

 

Experience

  • 1 year of previous quality control experience.
  • Quality control experience in a food industry preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; reach; climb and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must be able to work in tight and/or dim places, and be comfortable with heights.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 30 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
