PURPOSE

Perform tasks to ensure all work instructions related to the assembly of standard SMC product and simple specials are followed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

q  Adherence to all department work instructions

q  Ensure respective area is compliant with 5S standards

q  Process all paperwork necessary associated with established assembly standards

q  Execute basic to advanced work flow tasks on established SMC systems

q  Assembles and tests standard SMC product and simple specials

q  Ability to interpret and apply simple special documentation

q  Understanding of SMC’s part numbering system

q  Provides feedback and improvement recommendations for daily activities

q  Understanding and application of WMS/ERP pertaining to job operations

q  Ability to complete inventory transactions consistent with established work instructions

q  Adherence to all safety rules

q  Adherence to all Quality Management system standards and policies

q  Comply with required yearly training

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

q  Physical demands require the person to regularly stand, walk, and use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms.

q  The person is frequently required to climb or balance, stoop kneel, crouch or crawl.  Must be able to hear and talk.

q  The work environment will expose employee to the following elements: Noise, Heat, Cold, Dust

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

q  High School Diploma or equivalent

q  Ability to work well in a team environment

q  Detail oriented

q  Ability to effectively communicate

q  Basic Computer Skills preferred
