We currently have an opening for a Director of Finance & Administraton to join Sequence, Inc. on a full-time basis (salaried with benefits) with primary location based out of our Morrisville, North Carolina Headquarters. As a key member of the finance team, the Director of Finance & Administration will report to the Head of Finance and will be responsible for overseeing the finance, accounting, IT, & contract functions. The Director of Finance & Administration is accountable for financial planning, financial reporting, market research analytics, contract administration and IT.  

Accountabilities:

 
Financial Planning:
  • Assist with establishing key performance indicators across the business including both lagging and leading indicators that drive the business forward
  • Manage the process and build financial forecasting, budgets, and reporting to the business
  • Support strategic planning by creating financial models and presentations
Financial Reporting:
  • Build and present monthly and quarterly reporting packages to leadership team
  • Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities
  • Help develop and update dashboards, scorecards, and financial systems
  • Assist with RFP process as needed and review project margin analysis with department heads
Administrative Management:
  • Manage accounting, finance, tax, IT, contracts, facilities, and treasury functions
  • Assist with legal matters and manage the contracts process for the business 
  • Manage a team of employees including coaching, reviewing work, and establishing goals
  • Design and work with the HR team on compensation plans 
  • Ensure that the business complies with all legal and regulatory requirements
Market research Analytics:
  • Analyze market to identify synergies that may assist with the company’s growth strategy including economic and business trends 
  • Mine, report, and trend data on customers, competitors, and partners
  • Partner with sales and marketing team to assist with strategy based on data obtained

Minimum Requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business
  • 7+ years of managerial accounting and financial management experience
  • 7+ years of experience in a management role 
  • Prior experience interfacing with and reporting to company executives and/or leadership board
  • Ability to multi-task and change direction often
  • Independence, reliability, and self-accountability
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
Preferred:
  • Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or business
  • CPA and/or CMA 
  • Experience with Adaptive Insights and NetSuite
