Lake Compounce - Maintenance II

Lake Compounce, the oldest, continuously-operating amusement park in North America, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join the team! This is a full-time benefited position.
 

SUMMARY:
This position will perform inspection, maintenance, and repair of park rides, buildings, and equipment on the Lake Compounce property.

JOB FUNCTIONS:
* Perform daily inspection of amusement park rides
* Troubleshoot, test, service, and repair amusement rides including, but not limited to the removal, reinstallation, and replacement of amusement ride parts
* Perform tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Director.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
* Must be 18 year of age or older
* Must have a valid driver license
* Must have experience in related fields
* Must be able to pay attention to detail and have good organizational skills
* Must have good communication skills.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
* Experience servicing maintenance equipment and systems (bearings, drives, lifts, gearboxes, chains, etc.)
* working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
* Basic electrical knowledge and understanding
* Automotive and equipment maintenance and repair experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
* Ability to walk, climb, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
* Must be able to work at heights in excess of 50 ft
* Must be willing to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
* Must be willing to work extended hours as needed
* Must be able to work outdoors, year round, in all weather conditions.
