Part Time Maintenance – General Interest

This position is responsible for maintenance of the facility and its equipment at Idlewild & SoakZone, including all assets of maintenance work necessary to the facility’s operation. This position is a seasonal support/assistant position working during the park operating season (May through October). Positions may be available within the following mechanical trades/departments: Ride Maintenance, Electrical, Carpentry, Plumbing, Grounds Maintenance and more.

Job Functions:

• Assists with maintaining and servicing mechanical pieces of equipment to sustain specified safety and performance standards.

• Provides good workmanship in a timely manner.

• Follows all safety policies and procedures.

• Assisting mechanics and trades personnel with all aspects of operation.

• Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.

• Must have a valid driver’s license.

• Must have three years verifiable experience with mechanical trades.  Vo-tech training or comparable training will be considered in lieu of one year of experience.

Additional Qualifications:

• Good communication skills and teamwork approach.

• Ability to work with minimal direction and supervision.

• Must have a thorough knowledge of equipment used in support of mechanical trades.

• Must be able to diagnosis and repair equipment with minimal supervision.

• Ability to conform to all working conditions.

Working Conditions:

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, which will include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Must be able to work in a variety of environmental conditions.

• Must be able to work at heights in excess of 100 feet.

• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
