Job Summary

Under the supervision of a Recreation Specialist or Recreation Leader II, the Recreation Leader I will lead/supervise afterschool sites, summer camps, and various recreational activities.  Will be communication with children, peers, parents and internal administration.  Must be available to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays. 
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Creates and implements lesson plans for children ages 5-13 in areas of recreation, education, and enrichment
• Supervises children in a variety of settings including indoor and outdoor and potentially extreme weather conditions
• Performs general cleaning of equipment and facility
• Performs daily office tasks such as filing, sorting, answering phones
• All other related work as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Completion of two years of high school

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year experience working with children
