Shipping Clerk

Located in Youngstown, Ohio, GLI Pool Products is one of the industry leaders in the manufacturing of Vinyl Pool Liners and Safety Covers as well as distribution of pool product accessories.  GLI sells the majority of its products through wholesale pool distributors shipping throughout the United States and internationally.

$13.50 Starting Wage
$1.00 shift premium for 2nd or 3rd shift 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Ensure customers receive accurate,
  properly packed product in a timely manner.

• Maintain/record all related documents
  required to ship product are properly completed and placed in the appropriate
  files.

• Process customer orders for pick up by
  contacting specified freight carriers.

• Follow standard work, and carry out responsibilities
  in a safe manner.

• Requisitions and stores shipping
  materials and supplies, to maintain adequate inventory at all times.

• Loading and Unload freight carriers
  with tow motor or hand-truck.

• Receive raw materials and supplies,
  report defects or shortages.

• Maintain clean and orderly work area.

Skills and Abilities:

• Work effectively and independently in
  a fast paced and changing environment with multiple priorities.

• Solid Computer Skills; Microsoft
  Office and Excel. Accurate data entry/typing skills

• Proficient communication with
  co-workers, freight carriers and Supervisors.

• Minimum one-year shipping/receiving
  experience, to include administration of LTL, Parcel and Full truck load
  shipments domestically and internationally.

• Prior forklift experience on both
  stand up and sit down fork lifts
