Overview of Position:
Citi Bike’s Service Delivery Department works hard to make sure that our bikes are available for our customers when they need them, where they need them. The Motorized Redistribution team deploys box trucks and sprinters throughout our service area in support of this task, moving bikes as required and running inspection routes. The Redistribution Operations Field Coordinator works with and supports our Rebalancers and Driver-Rebalancers that make this happen. The Field Coordinator will implement the goals and standard operating procedures set forth by their managers and ensure they are being carried through. The Field Coordinator will work under the guidance and supervision of the Manager of Motorized Redistribution and Service Delivery Director. This is a field-based position reporting to our main vehicle depot and traveling around the city to monitor staff. The position oversees 2 shifts, 3PM-11PM and 11PM-7AM. Weekends are mandatory
Key Aspects of Position:
Oversee the activity of Motorized Redistribution during the course of your shift, ensuring the delivery of department goals, the performance of staff, and that all workplace policies, instructions from dispatch, and standard operating procedures are being adhered to Train, supervise, monitor, coach, and advise all Rebalancers and Drivers, working to address any performance issues as needed
Maintain close communications with operations managers, dispatch, and other employees as needed, resolving any problems that arise in the field or in the depot
Follow safe work practices and help to create a safe working environment
Ensure vehicles are being cared for and signed out by drivers in accordance with the standard operating procedures.
Enforce safety, production, and punctuality requirements set forth by Management
Train new and existing staff on standard operating procedures and new procedures as they arise
Report shift schedule irregularities to dispatch and management Conduct periodic in-field staff evaluations
Other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience:
Proven experience effectively leading, training, and communicating with co-workers and supervisors required
Experience working within and strong knowledge of the policies and procedures of the Citi Bike Redistribution Operations department preferred
Experience supervising and training employees, enforcing SOPs and company policies, and conducting discipline strongly preferred
Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record required, CDL Preferred
Knowledge of New York City and New Jersey Area
Proven experience with vehicle maintenance and safety. 2+ years of experience preferred
Knowledge and experience with operating commercial vehicles and maintaining vehicle fleets in NYC
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; stoop, bend, and stand for long periods of time
Job may require hours that exceed 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week
Proficient in Google mail, drive and the ability to use Android devices
Ability to lead projects and provide status updates
Ability to maintain confidentiality, remain open to others' ideas and willingness to try new things
Must have knowledge of excel, google sheets with the ability to calculate formulas.
Must be able to multitask and prioritize projects, daily administrative responsibilities along with reconciling staff issues and concerns.
