Key Aspects of Position:

  • Perform various tasks related to the replacement and repair of bike stations and components

  • Manage schedules for employees.

  • Follow safe work practices to create and maintain a safe working environment.

  • Supervise daily operations to maximize customer experience; ensure all operations are carried out as per Citi Bike standards.

  • Maintain and uphold all Citi Bike policies and standards, including time and attendance, visual preparedness (uniforms), and standard operating procedures; recognize employees with exemplary performance and administer corrective action to employees for non-compliance when necessary.

  • Support ongoing recruitment of hourly non-exempt staff, including application screening, interviews, open houses and onboarding.

  • Oversee scheduling of employees, including master planning on a biweekly basis, as well as daily updates due to call-outs for employee illnesses, vacations, etc.

  • Analyze data and create reports, as requested.

  • Identify and improve team’s performance and inspection metrics.

  • Conduct periodic staff evaluations and provide feedback.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience repairing bike station components

  • Prior experience overseeing customer-facing hourly or non-exempt employees in the capacity of a shift supervisor, team lead or other position with line management responsibility.

  • Willingness and ability to work off-hours, weekends and possibly overnights.

  • Willingness and comfort with using the Citi Bike system; ability to comfortably navigate Manhattan and Brooklyn on a Citi Bike in all weather conditions.

  • Job may require hours that exceed 8 hours per day and / or 40 hours per week.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with coworkers and supervisors both verbally and in writing.

  • Strong organizational skills; ability to lead projects and provide status updates.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, remain open to others’ ideas and willingness to try new things.

  • Strong computer skills and ability to use Google Apps for Business, as well as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. (NOTE: You may be required to complete a skills assessment for Microsoft Excel to demonstrate skill level in this area).

  • Willingness to work outdoors, year-round and in all weather conditions.

  • Valid NY or NJ Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record required.

  • Comfortable driving, stopping and working in busy outdoor urban environments.

  • Knowledge of NYC-area geography/street layout.

  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds; stoop, bend, and stand for long periods of time.

  • Must have great customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
