SECTION A: OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
|
|
The Human Resources Assistant provides communication and administrative support for the Human Resources Department and employee activities.
|

SECTION B: MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Maintains HR information systems which include employee benefits and compensation information. Maintains employee personnel files and ensures employee forms are completed and filed appropriately.

2. Maintains the Ceridian Recruitment System for internal and external personnel and providers. Posts job openings, places external advertisements, maintains position files and applications, and coordinates interviews.

3. Assists with or creates correspondence for HR department. Files correspondence as required.

4. Maintains providers credentialing files and licenses. Updates and maintains Intellisoft credentialing software. Tracks and prepares provider files for re-credentialing.

5. Assists in the maintenance and investigations worker's compensation claims/records. Prepares and processes WC-1 forms and the accident investigation reports. Corresponds with worker's compensation adjuster and MMG medical director. Assists in the safety program & meetings and correspondence with the safety committee.

6. Assist the HR director with TDI, FMLA, COBRA. Prepares and coordinates with the employees for notices and updates.

7. All other miscellaneous responsibilities and duties as assigned.

8. Demonstrates quality work, completes assignments on a timely basis, and makes decisions within limits of authority. Takes initiative in problem solving, maintains confidentiality of patient and company information, and interacts with patients, co-workers, and management in a courteous and respectful manner. Adheres to all company policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience:
|
High school diploma or equivalent. Must have at least 2 years of Human Resources administration or office environment.
|
Desired/Preferred Qualifications:
|
Experience with Human Resources policies and practices
|
Equipment Use:

Computer, basic office equipment, copy machine, facsimile, typewriter, etc
|
Characteristics:

Environmental Factors:
|
Requires prolonged sitting ( 75%), walking, bending, stooping and stretching for files and supplies (15%). Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard and other office equipment. Vision must be correctable to 20/20 and hearing must be in the normal range for telephone contacts. Operates an automobile for errands. Lifts up to 15 lbs.
