POSTDOCTORAL POSITION IN VACCINE IMMUNOLOGY AND CD4 T CELL AND B CELL BIOLOGY (CROTTY)
Academic postdoctoral positions (NIH grant funded – up to 5+ years) are available at the La Jolla Institute for Immunology (LJI) in the research group of Prof. Shane Crotty. The goals of the laboratory are:
(1) to elucidate the CD4 T cell and B cell immunology underlying successful vaccines and protective immune responses and apply those principles and mechanisms to the development of future vaccines (Science 2009 [PMID 32857950], Immunity 2018 [PMID 29287996], Cell 2019 [PMID 31080066], Immunity 2020 [PMID 32857950]), and (2) understand adaptive immune responses to pathogens, such as SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19 disease (Immunity 2019 [PMID 31117010], Cell 2020 [PMID 32473127], Cell 2020 [online Sept 16th]).
