A New Leaf’s East Valley Men’s Center (EVMC) provides shelter and support services to single men in our 94 bed facility. We strive to provide a hand up and not a hand out at the East Valley Men’s Center. Our program is considered a “working man’s facility,” requiring and assisting men to secure employment and save money for their transition to safe, stable housing.

We're looking for a full-time Admin who will assist the program and the clients by providing a supportive and structured environment to assure safety and respect.

Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 7:30AM - 4:00PM 
Location: Mesa, AZ

Pay Rate: $13.00 per hour 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Responsibilities will include but not limited to):
 

  • Attend and actively contribute to regularly scheduled staff and training meetings, as well as the training of new staff members                                           
  • Develops and maintains records and files in an organized accurate manner.                          
  • Utilizes performance improvement principles to assess and improve quality.                        
  • Performs clerical and administrative duties for program staff including filing, data-entry, drafting and preparing postings, correspondence and running a variety of reports.                            
  • Must be detailed, organized and able to handle multiple projects at the same time, and possess an understanding of basic office equipment and their functions                                                                  
  • Process incoming calls, complete pre-screen assessments, research and respond to requests, refer calls to appropriate personnel and retrieve voice mail, as well as disperse mail.       
  • Coordinates with Intake Specialist to schedule intake appointments, maintain Bed-roster, assigning resident bays and conducting brief initial health assessments for COVID prevention practices.                        
  • Notifies staff as to meetings and/or trainings available and dates, along with agency compliance requirements and other pertinent information.                             
  • Assist with assurance of compliance with licensing entities and accreditation organizations.         
  • Orders and maintains office and program supply inventory.  Acts as a resource for various office equipment (i.e. printer, copier, fax, etc.).                                 
  • Assist with maintaining program procedure manual.                       
  • Complete all data entry for client intake procedures and maintain Case Manager scheduling as designated by program.                                                        
  • Generate applicable monthly reports as dictated by program needs                           
  • Assist program staff with special projects including data gathering, data analysis and summary reporting.      
  • Receives and assists visitors, donors, vendors, volunteers and telephone callers, screens and prioritizes calls, assists visitors or callers whenever possible or directs to the appropriate individual or department. 
  • Provide client care supervision as required by state law and A New Leaf policy and procedures.
  • May be required to assist in or complete additional tasks as needed by the program and directed by the program manager.             

 

Qualifications and Experience:    

  • One (1) year of clerical and/or administrative experience 
  • Experience working with homeless or economically disadvantaged population preferred 
  • Strong communication skills critical, both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of Community Resources preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED required
