BCO Field Rep. - Field Operations Center - Mesa, AZ
Location: Mesa, AZ
Communicate with both new and existing BCOs and Operators; Assist and educate through frequent and consistent contact beginning at the Landstar Field Operations Centers; and communicate with others at Landstar to maintain a fluid support system.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Establish revenue expectations with BCOs.
Provide solutions for BCO and Operator questions/problems/concerns.
Post Orientation follow up with BCO's and Operators to determine their needs.
Work directly with BCO Advisors in managing and providing first contact information.
Update Contractor, Tractor and Operator files in iSeries 400, as needed.
Facilitate in the establishment of communication between new BCOs/Operators and Operators, and their advisors and CABS. Help facilitate same between BCOs/Operators and their domicile agents.
Emphasize the importance of the "tools" Landstar offers.
Coordinate with orientation coordinators and recommend changes to orientation and CABS program.
Perform as a back-up for Orientation and CABS Coordinators including class instruction.
Handle incoming calls from BCOs and Operators.
Special projects and assignments as needed.
Perform Hours of Service Review with BCOs as needed.
Facilitate problem solving between agents and BCOs
Participate in safety meetings. May be during non-business hours or on-site as needed.
Assist safety in the operation and coordination of the driver simulator program.
Other duties may be assigned.
Must perform duties to the standards of the job description and comply with the company's policies, practices, and procedures.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Ability to work in a sometimes complex, fast-paced, and moderately stressful environment
Excellent customer service skills
Proficient in data entry, iSeries 400 skills and Microsoft Office applications
Working knowledge of Word, Excel and Powerpoint, helpful
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in an environment requiring ability to multi-task
Able to perform quality work with minimal supervision, and manage time wisely
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to motivate others
Some travel required.
Prior experience in trucking industry and within Landstar, preferred.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), required
