Trailer Operations Coordinator - Mexico Cross Border Services - Laredo, TX

Location: Laredo, TX 

Daily coordination of all trailers in Mexican market including freight coordination for shipments to and from Mexico.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Assist the BCO's and agents on any questions/concerns on procedures and best practices.

Coordinate shipments between the Mexico Customer, Mexico Transportation provider, US/Mexico Customs and the Landstar agents

Responsible for maintaining all operations forms.

Maintain trailer pools and follow up by communicating with customers/carriers . Oversee all trailer tracking and tracing of equipment

Maintain trailer damage control by working in and with users of the YMS

Compile all required weekly, daily reporting.

Answer all requests from the Trailer department.

Responsible to work closely with our maintenance and tire vendors, handling all maintenance and tire reporting.

Assist all other Mexico Operations Coordinators as necessary, based on workload

Assist agents with all facets of rating a shipment in a cross border environment

Answer all phone and email request from agents, co-workers and customers in a timely manner

Must perform duties to the standards of the job description and comply with the

company's policies, practices, and procedures.
Other duties may be assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Working knowledge of HazMat regulations

Working knowledge of safety and security processes in the trucking industry

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

Excellent organization and effective communication skills

Background and knowledge of Mexican Operations required

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED required; A.A. degree preferred; 1-2 years' experience in trucking/terminal operations, required.
