SUMMARY

The Ops Solutions Coordinator is responsible for monitoring & maintaining communications between Landstar & a variety of EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) customers, with a specific focus on load tendering and status updates. This role works with information technology (IT) staff, as well as our external customer base, to ensure the EDI program is operating at maximum efficiency. This is a highly technical position requiring daily coordination between internal and external parties to support account compliance and ensure smooth operations.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handles the investigation, evaluation, and/or resolution of issues

  • Communicate effectively with all necessary parties

  • Assists in preparation, coordination, and documentation of relevant processes

  • Reviews documents for accuracy and completeness, gathering missing documentation as needed

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment

  • Microsoft Office and Internet knowledge

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, required

  • Working knowledge of Cognos, helpful

  • Working knowledge of iSeries query, helpful

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Professional demeanor

  • Good organizational skills

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelor’s preferred

DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC DUTIES and/or SKILLS

  • Serve as initial point of contact for troubleshooting purposes.

  • Provide support and perform administrative oversight on managed accounts requiring complete knowledge of departmental policies and procedures

  • Complete set up tasks supporting the implementation of new business.

  • Understand, translate and document customer requirements to provide direction to IT EDI Tech staff.

  • Review assigned accounts regularly to determine operational compliance to customer requirements

  • Ensure agents are properly trained & aware of Landstar tools, processes and procedures designed to help manage their shipment workflow

  • Responsible for all phases of EDI set up which includes submitting project requests, testing, agent set up, training and compliance.

  • Coordinate the creation, management and input of data for all customer/agent scorecards; review for accuracy and resolve issues when necessary; recommends improvement in procedures and processes

  • Support continuous improvement efforts to increase utilization of EDI program

  • Other duties as assigned
