Shipping Technician

As a Shipping Technician in our Shipping & Receiving Department, employees are responsible for loading and unloading of product for shipping as well as moving finished product from the assembly areas to shipping. Employee stocks and pulls parts for other production areas of the plant to ensure they meet their customer demands.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Receiving:

·        Technicians utilize forklifts to offload product shuttling from various KI facilities

·        May require manual unloading

·        Account for freight allocated to location by scanning product (receiving)

Shipping:

·        Deliver freight from stored location to loading area (dock, trailer)

·        Manually load freight into designated trailer

·        Move product from manufacturing plant to shipping area to be store until it is time to be loaded

Warehouse:

·        Pull parts from warehouse location using the rush faxes & daily run sheets

·        Package & load product on trailers using equipment

·        Locating parts received on rack & on computer

·        Communicate part shortages to buyer and cells

 

QUALIFIED CANDIDATES:

·        High school diploma or equivalent

·        Forklift certification

·        Soft Skills: Positive attitude, willingness to learn, regular attendance, frequent interaction with others
