Identity Optical Lab in Normal, IL is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Equipment maintenance & Repair Technician.  The role will demonstrate an aptitude for troubleshooting software and mechanical issues through critical thinking.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Utilize working knowledge and experience in the areas Motors/Wiring configurations, Computers, Electrical Schematics, Electrical Distribution Systems, conveyors and Preventive / Predictive maintenance 
  • Daily, weekly and monthly cleaning and maintenance of coolant systems, machines and conveyors 
  • Mechanical expertise, to include, but not limited to, Precision Alignment, Tensioning fasteners & belts, Lubrication, Mechanical drawings, and Preventive/Predictive maintenance
  • Assigned tasks list to include, but not limited to repairs and preventive maintenance on Lens manufacturing machines that could utilize power driven rotating equipment, drive motors reliant on axis alignment, and input/output relays
  • Repairs and preventive maintenance to be performed in conformance with established standards
  • Communicating directly with Vendors to troubleshoot high level process anomalies with machines 

 QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess and strong work ethic and be self-motivated
  • A good attendance record
  • Mechanical maintenance experience
  • Must be able to operate and have knowledge of simple and complex machines and their software programming 
  • Must have working knowledge of the following: proper use of hand / power tools, pneumatics and axis motors
  • Critical thinking skills to provide understanding during detail-oriented problem solving situations

The ideal candidate will have experience in optical equipment maintenance and repair. We are willing to train!
