Accounts Payable Associate
The position provides direct support to the Accounts Payable manager by processing vendor invoices, reviewing employee expense reports, assisting vendors, and maintaining Financial Advisor’s business expense accounts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Review all invoices for appropriate documentation, general ledger coding and approval.
Audit employee expense reports to ensure compliance with corporate policy and IRS guidelines.
Assist with Financial Advisor business expense accounts.
Make payments directly to vendors using a virtual credit card program.
Assist with corporate credit card program.
Respond to all vendor and employee T&E inquiries.
Assist in month/year end close.
Match invoices to checks and distribute checks accordingly.
Open and distribute all AP mail.
Look into open payments and outstanding balances on invoices.
Provide guidance to branch and back office employees on any AP related inquiries.
Aid in 1099 maintenance and year-end processing.
2+ years of Accounts Payable experience preferred.
Bachelor degree required, college courses in accounting preferred.
Proficient in MS Office, MS Dynamics SL, Chrome River Expense/Invoice experience a plus.
Thorough knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate procedures.
Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
Strong problem solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner.
Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
Location is mostly virtual with the need to be in the office in Philadelphia two or three days per month.
