Alltrista - Financial Analyst

Alltrista Plastics LLC, is a subsidiary of Jadex Inc., and is a leading manufacturer in high-volume, precision injection molded parts.  The company designs and manufactures with proprietary engineering processes and extensive manufacturing capabilities, from five (5) locations worldwide.  From the first spark of an idea, through the design of the mold to the actual manufactured product, Alltrista Plastics focuses all efforts on delivering innovative plastic solutions.  The company’s core markets include Consumer Products, Medical/Healthcare, Personal Care, Health & Beauty, Caps & Closures, and Packaging.

Primary Purpose of Position:

The Financial Analyst will be a key resource to our team, acting as a key stakeholder for coordinating, consolidating and reporting a wide variety of financial data related to a new business unit. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and being able to identify errors and communicate timely to leadership is important. The Financial Analyst will also be responsible for automating tasks and process improvements.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Month-end reporting for consolidated results, and being able to pull information from multiple sources
• Analyze a vast amount of data and provide insightful analysis and actionable commentary
• Participates in strategic corporate projects and team continuous improvement initiatives
• Supports development of the annual budget and forecast, particularly in consolidation and analysis
• Use statistical analysis and tools to showcase financial trends in the business
• Develop costing models and help drive cost improvement activity
• Assist the accounting team for any audit related financial requests
• Performs individual assignments and special projects, as directed by the management team
• Establishes and maintains effective work relationships with colleagues at all levels
• Maintains the professional competence, knowledge and skills necessary for assigned responsibilities

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Education - BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Experience/Knowledge

• 2-5 years of experience in a financial analysis role

• Advanced MS Excel skills, managing spreadsheets and using advanced formulas

• Ability to use MS PowerPoint to develop fact-based presentations
• Preference for strong statistical analysis skillset and ability to develop financial models
• Demonstrated strong organizational skills
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment
• Self-starter and solid follow-through
• High concern for detail and accuracy

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Sitting at workstation approximately 85 percent of work time.  Standing and walking approximately 15 percent of work time.
• Must be able to travel up to 15% of work time.
• Ability to work overtime as necessary and on short notice.
• Typical office environment with shelves overhead and above work surfaces.
