Position Summary

Manager, Information Security is a new position with an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader to build a security platform and program to support our four Jadex businesses. This is a key position for Jadex with accountability for information security, data privacy, regulatory compliance, and information risk management. This position reports to the V.P. Information Technology.

 

 

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Author policies, procedures, and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Design, implement, and monitor technical solutions for network boundary protection, endpoint security, access controls, log management, event management, and other key components of the Information Security Program.
  • Assess network and system vulnerabilities and lead corrective action initiatives to ensure security of the systems infrastructure and information assets.
  • Perform incident analysis, response management, and reporting while managing ongoing enhancements to the enterprise incident response and business continuity programs.
  • Perform security impact assessments as part of enterprise change management initiatives.
  • Lead the coordination process of IT SOX compliance activities.
  • Conduct recurring internal audits of security controls, procedures, implementation, and evidence to ensure continued compliance.
  • Inform and oversee physical security and cybersecurity engineering strategies, where appropriate.
  • Partner with teams across the company to ensure employees and vendors understand information security and cybersecurity risk management policies and protocol and operate within the program framework.
  • Support and provide guidance on courseware and training related to information technology and security-related issues in alignment with the company’s learning and development function, regulatory expectations, and industry best practices.
  • Maintain ongoing awareness of industry best practices and regulatory requirements to advise of program, monitoring, and technology enhancements and needs.
  • Work with external auditing agencies as necessary to support external cybersecurity audits.

 

 

 

Knowledge & Skills:

  • This position requires a minimum of seven (7) years of information security experience.
  • This position requires practical experience implementing at least one of the following frameworks: NIST 800-171, 800-53, CMMC.
  • Candidates with existing Information Security Certifications (CISSP, GIAC, CISM, or equivalent) are preferred.
  • Candidates with experience implementing security controls in a cloud-based environment (Azure, AWS) are preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with at least 4 of the following technologies: Firewalls, Intrusion Prevention/Detection Systems, Dual-factor Authentication, Endpoint Security and Security Information and Event Management Tools.
  • Candidates with experience implementing security controls for a remote workforce highly are preferred.
  • Accountability and/or understanding of information governance (notably records management, security, and data privacy compliance) relevant to professional service environment.
  • Candidates with two (2) or more years of information security experience in a government/defense contractor environment are preferred.
  • Proven leadership skills, team-orientation, and a proactive management style.
  • Proven project management skills.
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills as well as presentation skills to effectively communicate to various levels throughout the organization.

 

Education:

  • This position requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in information technology, computer science, mathematics, accounting, economics or other related discipline.

 

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • No direct reports currently.

 

 

 

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

 

  • This position is remote work eligible, but some travel may be required.
  • Sitting at workstation approximately85 (eighty-five) percent of work time.
  • Standing and walking approximately 15 (fifteen) percent of work time.
  • Ability to work overtime or occasionally on weekends with short notice.
