·Minimum of a BS in Mechanical Engineering.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
·Generate and maintain design, manufacturing, test, and integration
of advanced electro-mechanical hardware assemblies. Report and present Mechanical
Designs to functional leads as well as work with Technicians and Engineers to
create manufactural hardware/tooling. Maintain project budget and schedule
using an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS.) Must have knowledge of how PLM/PDM
software is used and release processes in a government environment.Create and track device trends using SPC. Lead
a team from product inception to program closeout.
·Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a design and manufacturing
environment. Hands on experience working in a design and build laboratory
environment. (Previous experience in Infrared Technologies a plus.) Experience
using Solidworks, developing and reading mechanical drawings, technical writing
for build history and test reporting. General knowledge of GD&T is
beneficial and how it relates to processing methods. Strong background in
precision alignment, chip interconnect, and adhesive bonding. Understand
electronic inspection per J-STD-001 and defect testing of devices. Experience
in product reviews (IE PDR/CDR/MRR/HAR) with customers and suppliers.
Understanding of MIL, ASTM, ASME Standards. Understanding and use of Earned
Essential Physical/ Mental Requirements:
·Proficiency in use of computers, engineering work stations, verbal
and written communication, interaction with customers/colleagues in a deadline-driven/fast-paced
environment. Must be self-starting and motivated. Ability to work in a cleanroom
with appropriate PPE.
U.S. citizenship is required. Ability to obtain a clearance is preferred.
