Essential Job Functions:
The responsibility of the Operations Coordinator is to ensure customer satisfaction through the coordination of scheduling, planning, communication and monitoring of Operations department projects.
The Coordinator’s primary function is to interface with customers, collect information, interface with internal organizations, document and manage progress to facilitate the on-time delivery of department projects.

This position requires an individual that is professional, outgoing, proactive and highly organized.
This position will interface with all departments of the company.
It is very important for the candidate to be able to maintain confidentiality.
The ideal candidate can perform effectively in a fast-paced environment where multitasking and prioritizing is essential.
Responsibilities in this position will include scheduling, budgeting, process and project documentation and reporting, managing databases, creating visitor requests, and managing department vendors. Desired candidate must be able to facilitate communication between customers, personnel and management at all levels.

Experience Desired:
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years demonstrated experience as a coordinator or other relevant job functions.
Strong organizational skills are required as the range of department projects and priorities may change quickly.
Must have exceptional customer service skills.
Outgoing self-starter with exceptional attention to detail, follow-through and multi-tasking.
This position will routinely exercise independent judgement and discretion with high-visibility department projects.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to work independently in a dynamic environment; ability to change direction, remain flexible and respond quickly.

Desired candidate would have experience supporting Facilities, Equipment Repair, Machine Shop and/or Shipping/Receiving departments.

Computer skills using Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word is required.
Experience with Sharepoint, Visio and Project is desired, but will train.
Will be required to learn additional custom software packages used by the departments.

Knowledge Desired:
Knowledge of office protocols including the ability to interface with a wide variety of people including technical laboratory experts is required.
Should have a working knowledge of Operations procedures and best practices.
Project Management knowledge and training is desired, but not required.
Knowledge of project organization protocols including software.
Ability to research best practices and manage tasks with little to no supervision.
Knowledge of laboratory protocols and safety desired.

Essential Physical/Mental Requirements:
This position will require both office work, such as computer work and meetings, and access to all areas of the campus.

Must have the ability to access all locations of the company property.
Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with people and have a focus on customer service for internal customers.

Education Desired:
AA, BS or BA degree preferred or 5+ years relevant Coordinator, Office Management and/or Administrative Assistant experience.  

Special Requirements:
Able to work flexible hours. U.S. citizen or permanent resident status required.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
