Serves as the primary customer contact for the customer base (as assigned), including occasional customer visits. This includes routine monitoring of customer’s electronic web-based systems when available.
Responsible for containment activities both at the customer and internal. This includes tracking and reporting of all containment activities.
Tracks quality performance at each of the assigned customers. When relevant, initiates corrective measures to improve PPM trends.
Responsible for the maintenance of the Process Information Sheets which detail the steps necessary to produce each part.
Participates on the Scrap Reduction Team meetings to address internal scrap, customer issues, etc.
Participates on the internal auditing team for the Quality System.EDUCATION:
Participate as member of the Product safety team.
Key leader involved with developing/maintaining systems to ensure all Quality Standards and Certifications are maintained.
Assist the Sr. Quality Engineer with APQP activities on all new jobs.
Champion Continuous Improvement activities particularity related to Quality Improvement.
Report all unsafe conditions, injuries, and illness to your supervision immediately.
Travel to customers required.
Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
B.S. Engineering or equivalent experience preferred TRAINING/SKILLS
Structured problem solving skills
Basic computer literacy
3 – 5 Years Foundry Engineering experience preferred
