The full-time Assistant District Manager provides general support for the distribution department’s day-to-day operational needs and is responsible for delivery of open routes, delivering missed newspapers, orientating potential new contractors, dock duties and performing all other assigned duties.This position is a 37.5 hours per week position during early delivery hours starting at approximately 11 PM.
Requirements: Qualified candidates must have a valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle and insurance and able to work early morning hours and weekends.Must be able to lift 35 lbs., drive in diverse weather, read and follow driving instructions.
Delivery of products to consumers and retailers.
Distribute bundled copies to independent contractors.
Deliver missed copies or shortages.
GED/High School Diploma
Proven excellent customer service experience required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Strong PC skills including Microsoft office required. Valid driver’s license and satisfactory motor vehicle record, dependable automobile, and liability insurance required. Proven leadership/management and/or distribution experience preferred.
