Gannett/USA TODAY NETWORK is hiring a Senior Content Marketing Director to join the Brand and Network Marketing team. This role will be responsible for developing and leading content marketing strategies that build our content brands and drive deeper engagement and retention of our portfolio of brands. This position will report to the VP, Brand and Network Marketing.

Responsibilities:

•Establish a content marketing strategy and framework representing different content pillars within Gannett across news, sports, lifestyle etc.

•Drive the strategy and execution to evolve content franchises into iconic brands

•Partner with key stakeholders in marketing, editorial, business intelligence to refine and implement content marketing strategies

•Create new demand among growth targets of our owned and exclusive priority content

•Amplify content consumption through social

•Lead, plan and manage campaigns to drive key KPIs across paid and owned channels

•Identify and secure new partners to create more exposure of new content

•Collaborate with editorial teams to align content publishing plans

•Provide ongoing analysis, insights, and recommendations on content opportunities

•Capacity to work and react quickly in a digital news environment

•Strong social writing skills

•Partner with creative to ensure brand and voice are projected consistently and effectively in content marketing efforts

•Lead and build a nimble, ‘startup’ content marketing team

Qualifications:

•Hungry, proactive, “roll sleeves up” workstyle

•Bachelor’s degree plus 10+ years of content marketing experience

•Demonstrated experience partnering with creative teams to bring to life content marketing strategies

•Ability to be hands on, with a comfort in driving both strategy and day-to-day execution

•Proven experience leading and directly managing complex initiatives across numerous stakeholders – from ideation to launch and optimization

•Outstanding communication skills and an ability to work with both C-suite stakeholders and cross-capability team members
