Newsroom Project Manager - The Courier Journal
The Courier Journal, the award-winning news site in Louisville, Kentucky, is seeking a project manager to coordinate daily and long-term assignments with key stakeholders across our operation. This position reports to The Courier Journal’s editor, who also is the site manager for the building, but your work will touch a wide variety of departments, including Sales, Production, Human Resources, Customer Service and, of course, News. You’ll have daily interactions with our building maintenance and security teams, as well as being our designated go-to person on key budget-tracking duties and the occasional regional project at our sister newsrooms in Indiana.
The ideal candidate is someone who grasps and is not intimidated by evolving and multi-faceted projects and can anticipate the needs that arise from both a building and staff standpoint. Solid planning and communications skills are vital, as is the ability to adapt to changing and/or unexpected circumstances on both a day-to-day and long-term project basis. We seek an individual who is fully proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with experience working with budgets and has a proven track record in managing group-oriented projects. This is all done within the confines of our company’s goals and vision, ensuring projects are completed on time, on budget and within scope.
