Reviewed, a part of the USA TODAY NETWORK, is seeking an editor with SEO/SEM experience to join us as a full-time Editor for Search and Updates.


The ideal candidate will be a collaborative, creative, and fast editor with strong organizational skills. You’ll be working on updating and optimizing our existing content and spotting patterns in search data to help readers find Reviewed’s expert advice.


Our mission is to help people make the smartest decisions about what they buy and get the most out of the stuff they already own.


This Editor role reports directly to the Executive Editor for Growth and will work closely with our Manager of Search Marketing. Remote employees are welcome, but our preference is for candidates who can work within the Eastern time zone work hours.


Responsibilities:

  • Work with our Manager of Search Marketing to identify opportunities to showcase our features, roundup, gift guides, and other content.

  • Update existing content on an as-needed basis.

  • Coordinate with our internal roundup reviews team to schedule frequency and priority of updates to existing content.

  • Identify gaps in our coverage between our existing work and the needs of our audience.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 3-5 years’ experience showing demonstrated ability to produce high-quality, rapid-turnaround editorial content.

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.

  • Strong commitment to journalistic ethics.

  • Strong understanding of SEO and how people discover content

  • Experience with SEMRush or other SEO tool experience is a plus

  • Experience with Google Ads: Search (Google AdWords), Facebook Ads, or other search marketing tools is a plus.

Our Work Environment:

For candidates in the Boston/Cambridge area, you will eventually have access to our open floor plan office, with several smaller meeting rooms and test labs throughout the building. If remote, you’re expected to be accessible to the team throughout the day via email, phone, and Slack.
