The Producer/Editor, Video position exists to edit various video projects for the Film & Video Production Department.

 

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

 

 

Oversees production/execution of assigned projects

 

Supervises and/or directs the filming of projects

 

Supervises and/or directs edits, graphic design, audio mix, color timing, captioning, subtitling and any other requirements for final post

 

Liaises with other departments to produce each project as needed

 

Ensures that all project approvals/releases are obtained

 

Ensures that all projects on the edit system are managed properly and backed up accurately according to the standards set forth by the management

 

Ensures that all projects are labeled correctly according to standards set forth by the Enterprise Content management system

 

Ensures that completed products meet Focus standards before distribution

 

Organizes and edits projects to completion of edited master (i.e., editing, graphics creation, video sweetening)

 

Provides technical director duties as assigned by Coordinating Producer for live and taped events and broadcasts

 

Provides customer service follow-up with media contacts as directed by Coordinating Producer

 

 

Other Duties/Responsibilities:



Performs other duties, including but not limited to duties as assigned, some of which may include the development and creation of a variety of copyrightable works (e.g., print, photography, film, music, visual arts, etc.) for distribution in all media and formats (such as television, radio, internet, wireless, DVD, satellite and digital) on a world-wide basis, all of which shall be for the benefit of Focus on the Family

Maintains the overarching quality standard for the department by working in tandem with the Directors, content owners, and outside vendors

 

 

Working Environment/Physical Requirements:

 

 

TV Studio environment

 

Office environment

 

Travel as necessary to attend classes/seminars to improve creative skills and to assist with shooting as needed

 

Must have ability to work occasional long hours or weekends on short notice

 

Stress and pressure associated with deadlines

Knowledge/Experience:

 

 

Bachelor’s degree in Media Production or equivalent work experience and/or related field

 

3-5 years of experience of hands-on editing

 

Working knowledge of FOF mission, philosophy, values, and objectives

 

 

Skills, Abilities, and Special Talents/Gifts:

 

 

Ability to operate sophisticated video recording/editing equipment, including Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop

 

Ability to communicate effectively

 

Basic organizational skills

 

Creative, idea generator

 

Effective listener

 

Competent in basic computer skills in both Macintosh and PCs


Pay Range: $23.77 to $28.08/hr.
