SVP, Credit, North America Fuel

Job Description:

  • Responsible for all credit and fraud losses for the company’s US lines of businesses

  • Will cover a broad range of risk management functions including acquisitions policy, account management, collections, and fraud operations.

  • Support sales growth and new product initiatives (expand to non-fuel business spend like T&E, revolving products, etc)

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners including Customer Service, Sales, IT, and Marketing

  • Manage and train teams in quantitative credit policy using MS Excel, SQL, SAS, modeling etc.

  • Broad range of customer segments – small and medium businesses averaging $5-10K in credit line to large accounts with $50MM+ in credit lines.

  • Update and create new statistical models for small account management (origination, account management, collections, etc)

  • Highline account reviews (>$100K credit line) using financial statements (balance sheet, P&L, cash flow statements)

  • Manage large teams of analytic resources (10+), collectors (70+), credit underwriters (25+) and fraud case workers (20+)


  • Bachelor’s degree from a leading 4-year college or university. Quantitative/analytical degree preferred.  High academic achievement preferred

  • 10+ years’ experience, with 5+ years in credit policy intent (consumer or business credit)

  • Proven career advancement with strong performance ratings

  • Strong organization skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment managing multiple projects and multiple teams

  • Proven experience in managing large teams (50+ people)

  • Proven experience in designing and executing against a process

  • Experience working in matrix organizations (preferred)

  • Experience in analyzing financial statements of companies to evaluate strength of business and potential risk of default (preferred)
