Position Summary

 

The Director, Digital Optimization develops strategy and executes optimization programs to improve digital marketing efficiencies and eliminates user experience obstacles by leveraging A/B and multivariate testing, digital analytics and customer experience management tools and techniques.

 

Summary of Essential Job Functions

 

·       Lead the optimization team evangelizing a continuous cycle of iterative testing

·       Design roadmaps, develop test hypotheses, and run A/B & multivariate tests to gather/analyze data, generate insights, and calculate business impact

·       Partner with Web Analytics team to develop infrastructure, tracking, and reporting systems for A/B tests to track user events and prove out new ideas

·       Analyze key metrics, identify trends and make recommendations to improve overall conversion rates and customer experience

·       Collaborate with Digital Acquisitions, Digital Product Managers, UX/UI designers, and website developers to execute against your optimization plan

·       Present results persuasively and authoritatively to peers and senior leadership, while facilitating collaborative conversation to drive the best product outcomes

·       Drive thought leadership in testing and optimization (A/B testing, multivariate, etc.) to support marketing teams

·       Performs other duties as assigned

 

Position Requirements

 

·       Bachelor's degree in marketing, computer science, engineering or related field

·       5 years of experience in a related digital marketing area, A/B testing, personalization, conversion rate optimization or product management

·       Proven track record of improving lead to customer conversion rate through multivariate A/B testing

·       3+ years of experience in A/B testing using tools such as Adobe Target, Optimizely, Sitespect, etc.

·       3+ years of experience in front end web development with HTML/CSS/JavaScript coding

·       Experience conducting analysis using web analytical tools like Adobe/Omniture, WebTrends, IBM/Coremetrics, Google Analytics or other similar tools is preferred

·       Results driven, self-starter who can reliably manage multiple projects to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

·       Process-oriented, mindset of continual improvement; real passion for ingesting and analyzing data, documenting processes with the intent of driving progressive improvements and significant innovation

·       Ability to think strategically and see the big picture, analyzing a problem or project from a variety of angles, yet examining specific aspects in significant detail

·       Ability to learn quickly, build consensus and interact effectively with internal teams and vendors

·       Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage and develop various projects at different stages

·       Strong verbal and written communications skills
