COG specializes in data-driven digital organizing, relational organizing, door-to-door canvassing programs, signature collection, and public affairs. General Description
Community Outreach Group is seeking an enthusiastic Operations Director, reporting to the Executive Director. To help us continue our growth, we’re seeking an operations expert to join our highly skilled team. As an ideal candidate, you have proven senior management experience in a highly dynamic setting. Your organizational, communication and leadership skills are second to none and you enjoy developing solutions that push innovative boundaries. You’ll work closely with our senior leadership to strategize and develop long-term plans that usher in new levels of productivity and success at Community Outreach Group.
Responsibilities
This is a senior-level role within a political start-up organization. In this position, you will have the opportunity to:
Contribute to the organizational strategy and development of an exciting new start-up focused on running excellent, efficient, values-driven campaigns in
support of sexual and reproductive health.Ensure legal compliance and risk mitigation, including insurance procurement, contracts, leases, legal documentation, etc.
Project manage the creation of and execute administratively the annual organizational budget, including COG’s annual financial audit, contract and billing
administration, and filing of annual taxesDefine, implement and revise operational policies and guidelines for the organization
Work with the human resources department to create job descriptions, hire competent personnel, and implement staff evaluations
Manage procurement and resource allocation
Qualifications
Applicants for this position should bring the following knowledge, abilities, and attitude:
Superior knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, including financial, legal, and compliance administration procedures
Proven ability to plan and manage the operational process for maximum efficiency and productivity
Ability to streamline and implement new structures and roles that create speed, efficiency, and support rapidly shifting business demands
Willing and able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
Experience working with a diverse workforce and with/for communities of color
Licensed driver with access to a vehicle

Has run a Request for Proposal process (you will own a systems evaluation process)
Has experience with Dayforce, Netsuite, and/or Oracle PBCS
Demonstrated experience with general finance and budgeting, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash-flow management.
Has some knowledge of or experience in reproductive health issues
There is no formal education requirement for this position.
Compensation
This is a full-time, exempt, senior-level position with the Community Outreach Group, with an annual base salary between $100,000 - $108,000 depending on skills, experience, and qualifications. Full-time exempt employees are also eligible for a cell phone reimbursement up to $75/month, and employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance.
