THE BRASS TACKS


  • Effectively communicate all guest activity offerings externally and internally.

  • Insure all trip information and are accurately recorded.

  • Ensure safety protocols and standard operating procedures are communicated to crew members and adhered to 100% of the time.

  • Maintain current guide licensing requirements and first-aid certifications.

  • During scheduled work hours take general phone calls, direct phone calls to appropriate department, and pertaining to activity related inquiries by phone and/or email engage guests and respond according to procedures.

  • As it pertains to vehicles, commercial use of public and federal lands, Guides to prepare and submit reports as needed.

  • As scheduled by Activities Manager, Guides to meet with guests to provide an overview and orientation of Activity programs available during their stay.

  • At regularly scheduled times, engage guests and promote the Activity programming.

  • Participate in PMS system trainings and utilize PMS system at every opportunity.

  • Commit to general work schedule for duration of entire season, changes to schedule must be approved by Activities Manager two weeks in advance.

  • Whenever possible, take and picnic orders directly from guests and submit according to Ranch procedures. Additionally, serve meals in the field according to Ranch standards.

  • Assist with tasks as directed by the AM.

  • Assist with organizing and preparing daily river and trail conditions.

  • Participate and assist with capturing and generating content for Social Media, Marketing initiatives, blogs, and train team members to do the same.

  • Actively engage and host members of the Media, company representatives, VIPs as needed.

  • Maintain quality of outdoor equipment, insure it is in the best condition for guest use, assist with the renting, fitting and return of rental equipment into inventory.

  • Facilitate and encourage guest feedback following all trips and work with AM to implement positive improvements.

  • Encourage guest reviews on Social Media.

  • Approach all challenges with a solutions oriented mindset.

  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds and frequently travel up and down stairs.

  • Assist other departments as required.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Activities Manager.


THE NITTY GRITTY

  • Excellent leadership and guest service skills.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Must have observational skills which demonstrate an ability to anticipate the needs of guests and team members alike.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.

  • Competent computer skills (MS Office) and willingness to learn and utilize property PMS systems.
