Job Description

Umyuaq is currently searching for a Project Manager III to assist in all IM/IT Program and Project Management areas for the primary or significant IM/IT initiatives within the command at Madigan Army Medical Center (MAMC) located at Joint Base Lewis-McCord (JBLM) Washington (WA).

This position serves as the Site Lead for supporting Contractor personnel.  In that capacity, the Site Lead interfaces with the Government COR, Government Functional Area Leads, and Government Leadership on day-to-day tasks and mission requirements.  The Site Lead responds to Contractor personnel requirements, guides and advises Contractor personnel in resolving pay/administrative issues, provides performance counseling as required, writes or contributes to annual employee evaluations, interviews potential new employees, and makes hiring/firing recommendations to the Program Manager.  The Site Lead is also responsible for consolidating and submitting the Monthly Status Report to the Program Manager for further submittal to the Government COR.

  • This includes all related projects and associated work efforts

  • The position is required to provide weekly updates on each of the assigned activities, build project plans utilizing the Program Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) methodologies, report on milestones as appropriate, report whether resources are being allocated correctly, complete risk assessments and work forecasts, and ensure all tasks and deliverables are being met. 

  • The position is required to manage, coordinate, facilitate, oversee, and track initiatives and projects with varying timelines and scopes using state-of-the-art PM techniques for risk assessment and abatement and Program Knowledge Management (PKM). 

  • The position will provide recommendations for software and hardware-based on technical requirements.  In-depth knowledge of IM/IT in a clinical environment and impact on clinical systems based on the above concepts will also be required. 

  • The position will provide updated documentation through Standard Operating Procedures, approved by the designated government representative.

  • Attend Project meetings (vendor, stakeholders, and resource groups)
  • Plan and manage project tasks (Phone migration, post-phone migration incidents, scheduling, customer interactions, vendor interactions, and resource management)
  • Weekly project updates with the command team
  • Daily project updates with service providers (NEC) and Gov’t stakeholders
  • Assist in all IM/IT Program and Project Management areas for the primary or significant IM/IT initiatives within the command.  This includes all related projects and associated work efforts – individual project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and related requirements.

  • Provide weekly updates on each of the assigned activities, build project plans utilizing the Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) methodologies, report on milestones as appropriate, report whether resources are being allocated correctly, complete risk assessments and work forecasts, and ensure all tasks and deliverables are being met.

  • Provide updated documentation through Standard Operating Procedures, which will be approved by the designated government representative.

  • Provide analytical support and assistance with DHAs J-6 CIO monthly reports.

  • Track, report, and manage incidents that are caused by project events (VoIP Phone Migrations)

 

Preferred Skills and Experience: Security+ / CCNA / A+ / CCENT / CCNP; Active “Secret” Clearance; Over 2 years of experience.


Candidates must be able to pass Local, State, and Federal Background Investigation.
