Duties:
- Highly technical requirement coordinating DPW Engineering aspects of the Department of Public Works (DPW) Installation Geographic Information System (IGIS) design, implementation, quality control and functionality; all projects will extensively use Spatial Data Engine (SDE) multi-user geodatabases
- Implement GIS analysis and mapping solutions and other technical work related to the GIS needs of the DPW Engineering Department
- Prepare documentation for programs and processes
- Performs field data verification utilizing as-builts documents or other methods
- Update and maintain map series and related coverage using ESRI ArcMap
- Creating, maintaining, and the electronic storage of files and maps
- Assist DPW staff with engineering-based GIS and spatial analysis projects, problems, and training
- Collect, process, and analyze mapping-grade to precision GPS/GNSS data to include detailed feature class attribution
- Collect, process, and analyze data for ortho-photo mosaics
- Perform all updates and entries in GFEBS for Demand Maintenance Orders (DMOs) issued for work requirements
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree minimum; Bachelor’s desired
- Five (5) years of GIS experience
- Experience with Spatial Data Engine (SDE) multi-user geodatabases
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communications skills
- Must possess a valid state driver’s license
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance
