Print Innovators, the commercial print division of the Free Lance–Star is seeking a CDL Supervisor who is also CDL driver to direct the activities of other drivers and the operation as well as maintaining CDL status. The goal is to ensure timely delivery, appropriate vehicle maintenance and compliance with DOT &
multi-state driving regulations. As a driver this position make deliveries for Print Innovators throughout the region. CDL is required. Must be able to operate both automatic and manual transmission trucks. Position also requires basic math skills and the ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds. The successful candidate must work well in a deadline-oriented and fast-paced work environment. Must be at least 21 years of age and have a good driving record plus 1-3 years of CDL driving experience, preferred. Shifts vary and include variable hours including early morning, day and occasional night driving. The Logistics and Transportation Supervisor maintains his driving status and directs the activities of other drivers and the operation. The goal is to ensure timely delivery, appropriate vehicle maintenance and compliance with DOT & multi-state driving regulations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Required to load and unload trucks for delivery.
Must be able to drive box truck (26 ft.) standard and automatic transmission.
Required to operate electric and manual pallet jacks.
Required to stack pallets and strap bundles.
Travels to post office on a daily basis
Delivers different items from The Free Lance-Star to Print Innovators
Delivers and picks up different items outside the Print Innovators building.
Deliver different recycled items to designated locations
Packages special products maintaining confidentiality regarding any advertising information
Boxes up recycled paper daily; loads and unloads cardboard baler; cleans the work area
Assumes duties of the Receiving Dock Clerk as necessary
Follows all departmental/company policies and safety procedures
Demonstrates Professionalism: works scheduled shifts; follows policies regarding work time recordings; arrives to work on time; maintains a professional demeanor and uses proper judgment with co-workers and customers; adheres to policies of department and company

Coordinates driver schedules to ensure timely delivery of printed products.
Coordinates vehicle maintenance/repairs and equipment repairs, (pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, etc.) with the appropriate personnel.
Coordinates delivery schedule with the Commercial Print Sales Representative to facilitate driver/truck availability.
Coordinates pickup of postal equipment (pallets, bags, tubs, etc.) with the company Mail Operator.
Performs liaison duties between the company and vehicle rental establishments, (coordinate IFTA information, updated rental agreements, preventative maintenance, etc.) as needed,

Ability and skill to use and operate an electric floor jack and related mailroom equipment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
· Valid Driver License,CDL Required
· Good driving record,
· 1-3 years driving experience preferred.
