The Resource Center has been providing services to persons with disabilities in the Chautauqua County area since 1958. From our humble beginnings as a gathering of parents and concerned citizens who wanted to provide educational and training opportunities for persons with developmental and intellectual disabilities, The Resource Center has grown into a comprehensive agency providing services to thousands of persons with all types and levels of disabilities.

The Resource Center is the largest non-governmental employer in Chautauqua County with more than 1,300 employees on its payroll.

The mission of The Resource Center is to support individuals with disabilities and other challenges in achieving maximum independence, contributing to their community, experiencing lifelong growth, and enjoying quality of life.

PRACTICE MANAGER

RESPONSIBLE TO: Assistant Executive Director of Program Operations

FUNCTION:Responsible for the smooth, efficient and cost-effective operation of assigned clinical programs that serve a diverse patient population. In conjunction with and/or under the direction of the Director, is responsible for all activities that improve performance on the triple aim of improved individual and population health, improved patient experience, and reduced cost. To guide the day to day aspects of satisfactory patient visits, workflow efficiency, quality of care and health outcomes. Ensuring adherence with all regulatory compliance, quality assurance plans and fiscal management oversight.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Must be action-oriented and able to effectively deal with challenge and change
  • Functional/technical skills sufficient to carry out assigned duties, including identification and utilization of software and systems that will maximize efficiency and enhance the quality of patient care
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills, emphasizing timely decision making and identification of, and focus on, critical priorities, as well as, effective delegation of tasks, assignments and duties • Process management skills, designed to emphasize efficient and effective utilization of available resources and include mechanisms that ensure the ongoing measurement and analysis of results
  • Strong personal and interpersonal skills including approachability, interpersonal savvy, listening, integrity and trust with primary emphasis on customer service and customer relationships
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate others, demonstrated talent in building effective teams, conflict management skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills, sound judgment and decision quality that is based upon analysis, precedent, policy, procedure and overall mission and goals of the program
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of others including staff, patients and regulatory bodies
  • Physical condition or reasonable accommodation commensurate with demands of the job

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Masters degree and two (2) years administrative and supervisory experience in a clinical, medical or rehabilitative program setting; OR Bachelors degree and four (4) years administrative experience in a clinical, medical or rehabilitative program setting, a minimum of two (2) years of which were supervisory in nature. Valid NYS driver’s license with driving record acceptable to agency insurance carrier, use of a personal vehicle or equivalent accommodations, and willingness to travel for work is required.

  • Demonstrated expertise in one or more of these areas:
  • Clinical background or experience working in clinical setting highly desired.
  • Performance Improvement experience, particularly in community health
  • Experience managing multiple simultaneous programs involving cross-functional teams within budgetary and schedule constraints, including addressing competing priorities • Experience directing internal and/or external teams, including resolving conflicting views
  • Experience effectively facilitating for teams and ability to manage team dynamics
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in negotiation, problem identification, and resolution
  • Strong teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively as a team member
  • Knowledge and understanding of QI approaches and how to use data and feedback for QI. Note: ** This position will be evaluated based upon size and scale of operations at the designated site(s).

DUTIES

SUPERVISORY:An Integrated practice must maintain an adequate, well trained workforce at all times Therefore, the Practice Manager must maintain:

  • Responsibility for the administrative supervision of assigned staff, including but not limited to:
  • Staff meetings and other related communication methods are effective and maintained
  • Accurate records that all staff maintain required training, licenses , credentialing and continuing education required by regulation or policy to adhere to all Federal and State laws and regulations governing assigned area(s) of responsibility, as well as, TRC policy and procedure.
