 Position Summary:  

Under the direction of a Residential Supervisor, provides medical care to the people we serve by performing skilled nursing duties; guiding and assisting direct care staff in the provision of
medical services and performing direct care duties as directed.

PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Formal Education/Training & Background/Experience

Current NYS LPN license is required.

At least 1-year LPN experience is required.

Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record is required.

Experience working with people with Mental Health or   Intellectual  Disabilities is preferred.

Ability to work flexible hours

Ability to demonstrate a high level of empathy and sensitivity to the physical and psychological needs of the people we support

Ability to communicate effectively -orally, in writing, 1-on-1 and on the telephone

Ability and willingness to provide effective instruction and demonstration to staff

Ability to maintain familiarity with and apply current knowledge of OMRDD, OMH and DOH regulations

Ability to work effectively without direct supervision

Ability to work cooperatively as a site team member

Ability to obtain and maintain CPI certification
