Social Media Content Creator

Ailey seeks a part-time Social Media Content Creator to create original, high-quality videos for the Ailey Extension’s social media platforms to help grow the Extension’s audience and promote “real classes for real people.”

Responsibilities:

• Film workshops, adult classes, kids & teens classes, performance workshops, panel discussions and other special events

• Generate content that is on-brand with Ailey Extension and in line with current digital trends and best practices

• Produce at least 5 edited, social media-ready pieces of content a week (possibly including but not limited to gifs, boomerangs, interviews, lifestyle videos, promotional ads, class clips, etc.)

• Aide the Extension Marketing Manager in developing the Extension’s digital/visual brand through video content

Requirements:

• Strong technical video skills and knowledge including video lighting and sound capture

• Experience in capturing dance and movement-specific subject matter

• Demonstration of creativity in filming and producing engaging video content

• A flexible schedule that allows for occasional weeknight and weekend filming sessions

• Excellent communication skills

The ideal candidate must be able to juggle multiple projects and have strong interpersonal skills. They must provide their own camera and video equipment. Experience with photography is not required but favored.

The Social Media Content Creator will work 20 hours per week and report to the Ailey Extension Marketing Manager.
