This position will assist with providing analysis for changes to operations to ensure maximizing company ROI while meeting industry metrics. This includes pricing
analysis for new and existing contracts as well as vendor contracts. This position is expected to have business acumen to add qualitative information of external and
internal factors to quantitative analysis. This position will also assist in the preparation, analysis, and distribution of the financial statement package. Responsibilities include follow-up to inquiries made regarding issued financial statements, as well as special projects assigned by management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Compiles and analyzes financial information for the organization or one of Alta's Clients.
Develops integrated revenue/expense analyses, projections, reports, and presentations.
Complete all cycles of the budgeting process. Assist in the month-end closing and distribution of monthly financial statements.
Serve as liaison to leadership, assisting them with budgeting and P & L related service issues.
Determine pricing for new business and/or existing clients; work with competitive pricing models and develop new business proposals.
Identifies trends and developments in competitive environments and presents findings to senior management.
Creates and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and ensures financial information has been recorded accurately
Perform detailed financial statement analyses, including discussions on various issues.
Analyzes financial information detailing assets and liabilities and prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position.
Perform financial forecasting, reconciliation of internal accounts and be able to compare to expectations based on the industry/business.
Complete quarterly compliance reporting.
Work with regulatory institutions and/or government agencies.
Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
Investigate errors and complaints. Adjust journal entries as necessary.
Assists with accounts receivable and special projects, as necessary.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance plus a minimum of 2 years of public accounting, audit/or related corporate experience required.
TECHNOLOGY SKILL BASE
This position requires a working knowledge of computer technology that includes: Windows, PowerPoint, Advanced Word, Access, Excel, and accounting software preferably Great Plains and FRX. Individuals must possess the ability to learn and understand new software and other technology applications as introduced by the Client and Alta Resources.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, client proposals, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, client contacts, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, top management, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to comprehend and apply GAAP and other accounting concepts. Ability to create pro-forma profit and loss statements based on a variety of data. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for up to eight hours, and stand. Manual dexterity which allows the individual to use hands to type on a keyboard, use a mouse and write are required, as is the ability to talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
