We’re looking for amazing people! Come join Virginia Housing as a Pay-Off and Assumption Specialist. This important role processes the timely and accurate preparation of certificate of satisfactions and/or partial releases. Additional responsibilities include the distribution and processing of assumption packages to customers and resolving and/or escalating complex issues to management as needed.
Responsibilities will include:
• Generate certificates of satisfaction and adhere to special instructions according to each individual locality.
• Order original loan documents from custodian process.
• Disburse clerk of court fee from corporate account to remit with certificate.
• Research and generate certificates of transfer for Habitat Lines of Credit. 
• Review and compile documentation in loan program files for imaging. 
• Responsible for the assumption prequalification, processing and submission to Underwriting for final review. 
• Establish and maintain loan account records.
• Review, prepare and close partial releases and easements with release and/or transfer of liability, partial releases of deed of trust, agreements to trust, and successor in interest; submit completed package to Legal Department for review.
• Respond to internal and external email and/or fax inquiries.
The successful candidate must possess several years’ lien release and pay-off process experience. Knowledge of real estate land records, real estate law and originations regulations a plus. Extensive working knowledge of Black Knight/MSP Servicing platform, strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to have positive interaction with peers and management and to work across departmental lines. Strong organizational, documentation and analytical skills. A.A. degree or equivalent vocational/technical training, is preferred.

Hiring Range: $52,876 - $68,738
